An emerging artform in the mix...
Since the inception of barrier screen technology by Clarence W. Kanolt, and the experimentation on lenticulated glass by Maurice Bonnet almost 100 years ago, the limitations of 3D lenticular imagery have been transcended to produce works of art that is no longer overwhelmed by its own process.
Soledad Salame, a mix media contemporary artist, used some of her oil paintings to create a 2 phase transitions with the lenticular medium.
The final 3D renderings is an interactive medium that provides an opportunity for viewers to engage in the art form much longer and more intently than with traditional mediums.
